A slew of celebrities are expected to honor Jennifer Hudson’s slain mother, brother and nephew Monday in Chicago.Guests could include Missy Elliott, Oprah Winfrey, Ciara, Clive Davis, Queen Latifah, Usher and Patti LaBelle, a source told The Chicago Sun-Times.
Jennifer Hudson’s fellow “American Idol” alum, Fantasia Barrino, is reportedly expected to sing at the service.
The service, which is private, will be held at the Apostolic Church of God.
A rep for Jennifer Hudson has asked the media for complete privacy and respect for Jennifer during this difficult time.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, a public memorial celebration was held at the Pleasant Gift Memorial Baptist Church in Chicago on Sunday. Neither Jennifer nor sister Julia, the mother of Julian, attended.
Darnell Hudson and Jason Hudson were discovered shot to death on Friday, October 24, while 7-year-old Julian Hudson went missing. His body was discovered on Monday, October 27.
On Friday, a source confirmed to the Chicago Tribune that all three were killed with the same weapon; a .45 caliber semiautomatic recovered a block from where Julian’s body was found.
Julian’s stepfather, William Balfour, remains a person of interest in the case and continues to be held by authorities on a parole violation, though he has not been charged in connection with the murders

Ciara admits: Athletes get me going

While some singers find inspiration from music legends, Ciara says she looks toward icons with a little more muscle. “I take my motivation from athletes – basketball players in particular,” the R&B songstress, 23, tells Men’s Health magazine in its November 2008 issue.
And there are a few NBA stars whom she finds especially inspiring.
“I love LeBron James because he’s my age and full of ambition and drive,” she reveals. Also, “I love Michael Jordan … there was so much pressure, but he pulled through every time. That energy motivates me.”
Ciara, a former high school track star, says her most recent source of motivation was watching New York Giant David Tyree’s performance during this year’s Super Bowl.
“The way he held on to that ball that Eli Manning threw – I felt what he had inside,” she says, adding, “when it comes to my career, there’s nothing more exciting than being successful at the highest possible level.”

Fantasy Ride!!!! Vibe!!!! Video!!!!
Hey fans, how are u? There’s been so much going on! I’m so excited! The most important, my lp! Fantasy Ride! The music is coming out amazing! Who, you are in for a treat. I’m executive producing the record along with my good friend and music producer, Tricky stewart. There will be great production from Tricky, Danja, T Pain, Rodney Jerkins, and more!! There are also some new and young producers that I’m excited about. Cant forget the features! Luda and Missy are back again! Jeezy is joining me as well. I can’t wait for u to hear it!

I just shot the video for Go Girl and it was crazy! All My Go Girls, stand up! Melina directed it and of course Jamaica got busy on the choreography! I added a little two cents but Jam Session(jamaica) layed it down on the steps. Talk about some Go Girls: Melina(director) Jamaica(choreographer) Yolanda(make Up) Kiyah(hair) all the ladies put it down. Go Girls in the house!! You will see it shortly!

I know that there has been a lot of talk about the vibe magazine and this will be my last time talking about it.
When vibe presented the idea to me, I was excited about trying something different and doing something Artistic. The body is beautiful, and I wanted to celebrate it. I’m at a point to whereas I’m shedding old layers of my life and the new layers are surfacing. So much has changed for me especially as a young woman and I wanted to express that. There was talk about me being upset about the shoot. When I look at the photos, I do think they are beautiful photos and I am proud of my body, I was bothered because I did indeed have on items that were removed.
I know that it was vibes mission to do something beautiful and to present me in a nice light I just think it would have been appropriate for them to get my approval to do such a thing before doing it.. I don’t want this to keep going; I just wanted to talk to u guys before I went totally silent on this topic. There are so many more great things to talk about like my LP and its on the way!! I promise you’re in for a treat. I love u guys and I thank u for your support.
